This very talented company took the step of staging ‘Whistle Down The Wind’ and a very successful production it was.  Under the direction of Sharron Burns, Ellen Nicholls as Swallow and Neville Leedham as ‘The Man’ led the company with great confidence.  With good support from Leo Wright as Poor Baby and Charlotte Gough as Brat.  Darrel Burns gave a sound performance as Boone as did Lars Faint-Uffen as Amos.  You forget, listening to this show, how good the music is and David Henshaw (M.D.) gave it his all.  I must say that the orchestra, under the baton of Brian Hirst, were just at the right level and while they were playing every word could be heard from the stage.  I also enjoyed the children singing ‘When Children ruled the World’.  Both the set and the costumes looked good.  Well-done CWAGMS.  You did yourself proud.
