The well known and a favourite play by J.B. Priestley is set around 1908 in the sitting room of Alderman Helliwell`s home where he and his wife and 2 more couples, all pillars of local society,  are celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary when there is some doubt as to whether they have been properly married and mayhem results.  The set of a Victorian room was absolutely fabulous with the furniture and properties totally in keeping with the period. The designer, Mel Silver, is to be congratulated not only on the look but on the detail that he achieved.   The production and acting was, as usual with this society, of a very high standard. All the characters played their parts to perfection with clarity, pace, projection and comedy timing. A very good and entertaining evening.
