When We Are Married

This ever popular play continues to be a certain winner with audiences, where its setting in the early 1900’s, its writing in the 30’s and playing in the 21st century are happily combined.

The cast entered into the spirit of things, with enthusiasm oozing from Ruby, the maid ( Laura Townend), excellent comic timing from the photographer Henry Ormonroyd (Stuart Lister) and a splendidly bombastic performance from Laurence Hayward as Councillor Parker. Everyone was comfortable in their characterisation, giving a commendable team performance as the panic took hold, followed by the realisation that the downtrodden could salvage some hope for better things in the future.

A very satisfying night’s entertainment for your audience.
