A Celebration of Leonard Bernstein at 100.

The New York version of Romeo and Juliet was well directed with some excellent cameo's from  the cast. The aggression of the Jets and Sharks was contrasted by the tender scenes of the lovers and all was done with great  panache.

The cast revelled in the big production numbers especially at the Gym.

Tom Fletcher was an appealing Tony especially in his solo Maria. Opposite him playing Maria was Jessica Williams who enchanted us with her singing.Emma Wetherall as Anita played her part superbly in all departments.

Special mention to Daniel Smith and Matt Evans as Riff and Bernardo, they captured their respective teams with authority.

One special moment was the '' Somewhere Ballet '' sung by Ellie Quinn.

In the mature roles Doc, Schrank, Krupke and Gladhand were Tim Jones, Greg Yates, Steve Coussens and Dave Hogan which added to the polish of the show.

Congratulations to all involved.

Many thanks for your warm welcome and hospitality.
