A very adventurous show for this company and they rose to the occasion. The orchestra was well controlled by the MD. The Creative Directors had made excellent use of every bit of space and showed fine control over all musical aspects throughout. As Tony Dan Smith gave a very relaxed performance and a pleasant singing voice. Beth Berwick-Lowe as Maria gave a solid performance and hit the right notes. Fleur Petford as Antia showed off her acting skills in the Taunting scenes with the Jets, I also liked when she and Maria sang,'A Boy Like That'. I was impressed with how all the male members worked together not dancers but very good movers in a show that requires you to move, from the start of the show with the prologue you could see the hard work these guys had put in. As the leader of the Sharks Bernardo Mitchell Bastable and the leader of the Jets Grant Chapman worked well in their scenes together. The supporting roles Krupke, Schrank, Glad Hand and Doc were also well played.
Congratulations to the cast and the production team on an enjoyable show
