Having never seen We Will Rock You before, I had only a basic sense of the plot and the iconic music of Queen. What struck me immediately was the sheer energy on stage — the cast delivered a performance that was electric from start to finish, showcasing not only the power of the songs but their own versatility. The show featured a strong line‑up of principals who delivered flawless performances both vocally and dramatically. As the story unfolded, it became clear just how much care had gone into shaping this production. The humour landed effortlessly and the musical numbers were delivered with a confidence that made even the most familiar Queen hits feel fresh. The ensemble’s commitment was evident in every scene, with tight harmonies, sharp choreography, and a collective energy that never dipped.  As Galileo and Scaramouche, Alistair Morton and Eilish Brand were a magnetic pairing, winning over the audience with sharp humour, vocal power, and a natural charisma that drove the story forward. Susan Campbell dominated the stage as the formidable Killer Queen, matched by Liam McKinstray’s slick and calculating Khashoggi. Alan Bankier and Katie Angus were well partnered as Bohemian rebels Brit and Oz, bringing infectious energy to their roles. Katie’s heartfelt rendition of ‘No‑One But You’ provided one of the evening’s most moving moments. Craig Carter added further colour as Buddy, infusing the hippie character with warmth, humour, and an easy charm that connected with the audience.  I commend the production team for realising their bold vision and bringing the futuristic, rebellious world of We Will Rock You to life on stage. The production was well costumed, and the choreography was slick throughout, supported by impressively tight harmonies perfectly balanced with the on-stage band. All the principals, Gaga Kids, Yuppies, Bohemians, and Dancers worked together seamlessly. The staging design and use of projections created a vivid sense of place, with scene changes executed smoothly ensuring the momentum of the show never faltered.  Overall, this was a polished, and entertaining production that celebrated the spirit of Queen with style and conviction.
