We Will Rock You

We Will Rock You, now released for amateur theatre is entertaining audiences up and down the country. I had the pleasure of seeing one of the early productions in February 2026, and I’d like to congratulate Pantheon for staging such an excellent production, packed with great music, strong vocal performances, and highly stylised staging and choreography. This talented cast clearly worked hard to ensure this production truly shone. Jonny Griffen and Jeni Mills, in the roles of Galileo and Scaramouche, worked extremely well together, demonstrating impressive talent, vocal dynamics, and acting ability. Neve Crooks had real presence as Killer Queen and, alongside chief of police Khashoggi played by Kris Morrison they were a force to be reckoned with. As the leader of the Bohemians, Jonny Collins was excellent as Buddy, performing with great ease and passion for the role. Both Marina Kelman playing OZ and Mark Long as Brit added further colour to the already bizarre storyline and entertained the audience with their well-polished performances.   

No show is complete without a hard-working ensemble, and Pantheon once again rose to the challenge. Their vital role brought energy and vibrancy to the production, particularly through the stylised gaga and yuppies movement and staging, contrasted effectively with the more laid-back bohemian approach.  

Costumes and make up were well thought out, and the set backed by impressive video wall projections proved effective, with strong lighting design enhancing the already standout performances and overall production. Sound was well balanced throughout; while rock music can sometimes be overly loud or distorted, this was never an issue during the performance. Credit must be given to the talented creative team for bringing this excellent production of We Will Rock You to the stage. Another great and successful Pantheon production.
