Walking on Sunshine

Another musical song and dance extravaganza, for which this company rightly has a worthy reputation. The main company sang and danced through what was apparently over 60 songs, although I quickly lost count, all polished and well rehearsed, cornering the market in precision and stagecraft. Amongst a great choice of company numbers,  Carlene Jones, Miriam Knight and Jacque Cook provided great solo support, with Brian Ellison’s very funny ‘Remember’ and Cath Skyrme and Paul Bellamy adding to the fun.

Once again the audience were blessed to receive selections from the Harlequin Stage School repertoire and an endearing contribution from children of Claines CE Primary School and Wilden All Saints CE School.

Under the overall direction of Val Knight with supporting section producers, great costumes, lighting, sound and musical backing, the whole company on and off stage are to be congratulated on the entire production, which again facilitated a significant donation to charity, this time supporting the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
