Waiting For Gateaux

Do you want to join a slimming club ? Why not join Mo-tivators. You may not lose much weight but you will have a really good laugh.

The play was set in a slimming club with a difference. Maureen (Sue Dolby) was the first to enter followed by Donald (Andy Pontin). Both Maureen and Donald worked very well together and gave us lots to laugh and smile about especially Maureen’s very colourful leotard. The next character to arrive was Jackie (Debbie Taylor-Sweeney)  again with a fabulously bright outfit followed by sister Raven (Stacey Johnson) the goth. Everyone had developed strong characters and played their parts well interacting well together.

All was well until Sophie (Gemma Lea-Roadknight) arrived. The members had the impression they were to be televised for a TV programme but this was not the case. The premises had been bought by Sophie and so began the aim of closing the venue down with a few twists and turns along the way.

Everyone played their parts well and gave us lots of laughs. Congratulations must go to Eamonn Sweeney for his direction and the cast of this play for providing such an entertaining evening. Well done LTC.
