Set in a dark basement flat, in the 1960’s, this play centres around Susy Henderson, a blind women, whose husband has innocently brought back from a business trip to Amsterdam a doll containing drugs. A man who claims to be an associate of her husband’s, turns up at the flat and as he gains her trust they search the flat for the missing doll.
Georgina Kerr-Jones gave an excellent performance in her role as blind Susy. She was well supported by Ollie Farrelly as business man Luke Saldana and David Thane as Croker and Roat did a sterling job as characters also after the doll and played their roles well. They were well supported by Tom Cooper as Sam Henderson as husband Sam, Nancy Wright as Gloria who looks after Susy and Allan Lane as the Policeman.
The basement flat set was another success for the Sutton Arts set building team and the lighting gave the moody atmosphere needed, especially during the last 15 minutes of the play which was played out in the shadows.
Tom Cooper, in this his second role as director should be well pleased with this production.
Many congratulations.
