This Play proved a real `Who-Don- It`. Only in the last few minutes were the audience aware of what had happened. Brilliant.
Daniel, a husband of only three months reports his wife missing. They are honeymooning several miles from where they were married. The inspector arrives to take Daniels statement. Shortly after he leaves the local priest turns up announcing that he has brought Daniel`s wife home. Daniel in a nervous state is convinced that she is not his missing wife. He is even more convinced when two people from their wedding village turn up and describe the bride, a tall blond girl, not the dark haired girl who is at the house. As Daniel tries to convince everyone that the girl is not his real wife the mystery deepens and we only find out at the end of the play what the truth is.
The cast in this play were very strong. Daniel was well played by Rob Butler. Alan Carney was well cast as the Inspector and Graham Hutchinson was excellent as the priest Maximim. Donna Kiermam was super as the `wife`. Florence. Phil Lord and Jill Brown gave great performances as Merluche and Mlle Berton. A small part was taken by Adam Coldrick playing the Gendarme. A really super cast.
Thank you for the kind invitation and well received supper.
