This was my first concert as the Noda 10 Representative and what a treat it was. Whitehaven Theatre of youth were performing their concert Titles to a full house in the Solway Hall in Whitehaven.

Once again the show was Compered brilliantly by Maria Morton, who kept the audience entertained between each set, one of the funniest things that happened was when Maria was doing her thank you’s, as she mentioned the sound her microphone was cut and as she mentioned the lights she was left in darkness this had the audience laughing in their seats.

They opened with the full cast performing Skid Row and what an opening number it was, great movement and vocals by all.

Lacie Morgan performed a lovely rendition of Mamma Mia and this was carried on with three of the younger members of the group, Jasmine Tubman, Sienna Morgan and Isabel Simpson who had the audience full attention with their singing and dancing on which the three of them choreographed themselves so one’s to watch in the future.

A mention must go out to Emily Murphy who done a solo performance ballet to Phantom.

I also must give a special mention to Layton Telford (Telf) who although he was not feeling well, still came on stage to sing Beauty and the Beast and got one of the biggest cheers of the night.

To end the first half the full cast performed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which is going to be the groups summer musical in July of this year and if this is anything to go by the audiences are going to see a spectacular show.

The second act opened up with Hamilton and then followed up with a song from the show called Dear Theodosia and this was performed by Bethany Dunn and Bobby Donald whose voices sounded so good together.

I could go on and on naming every single person who performed on stage as you were all entertaining and sang and danced very well.

On a personal choice I really enjoyed the song She’s my Sister performed by two sisters Olivia and Rosa Hodgson. Movement on stage was so commanding and their vocals sounded brilliant, I could see by the audience reaction how good this performance was.

All dances in the show were well choreographed by Kayleigh Donald, Amy Morton, Emily Morton and Jodie Morgan and the children performed them so well which is a testament to the guidance received by the groups Choreographers.

The show was staged putting the Solway Hall’s in house video screen to good use to inform the audience of the various themes. The Tech team made up of Andrew Morton on sound and Louisa Morton on Lights did a great job.

As the concert was coming to a close, the audience were treated to a rendition of Hello Dolly done by all the helpers, organisers and some parents but a big shout out must go to Mandy Worsley who graced the stage in her feathers to a well-deserved round of applause.

The show finished with Oklahoma done by the cast and the Adult Choir and what a finish this was, I did not want it to end. Well done to everybody on stage you all performed at the highest level and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
