The show was a credit to the society with such a selection of different music .There was something for everyone. Under the direction of Rod Dakin we were treated to super harmonies. The pianist Nicola Dagnall was superb. We heard numbers from several Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals. I enjoyed from The Messiah `Unto us is born a Son`. Included was `My Heart will go on` and `Take My Breath Away`. The choir sang a beautiful` What a Wonderful World`. Among the great choral numbers were solos well sung by Sue Bradley, Tony Meehan, Victoria Goulden and David Kay who gave a splendid `The Gas man Cometh`. We were also treated to a selection from next years show HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury.
I was so sorry to hear of the death of Bob Horrocks who always made me very welcome when I came to visit this society. My sympathies to all the family, I shall miss his presence.
Well done everyone in the society on a great evening`s entertainment. I look forward to seeing you next year.
