This was an extremely well written play which in turn was very well directed and acted by all involved.

There was a good amount of thrills in this piece especially from the lines delivered by Greg Muscroft as the “baddy” in this play, Spriggs. It seemed whenever he was backed into a corner he could come up with something which would throw his fellow actors off his scent and this he did with ease.

Of course in saying Spriggs was the main character in this piece should not detract from the other actors all of whom had more lines than anyone should have to remember, all of which were delivered with professionalism to make this come to life.

The action takes place in the Miles household when they return from a night out with their friends, the Farringtons. What started as an evening to celebrate the Miles’ wedding anniversary suddenly turns out to be an evening when secrets are found out much to the displeasure of their owners.
Mark Hague as John Miles was superb trying his utmost not to let his wife know about his secret affair with his best friend Trevor Farrington’s wife. Frank Bardsley was equally at home with the part of Trevor as was Tracey Briggs as Jenny Farrington, both were able to portray the couple who on the face of it had a good marriage but underneath revealed that things were not quite as they seemed. Also playing a very believable part was Gloria Elford-Box as the wife of John Miles, Barbara, once again Gloria was able to bring this character to life and deliver her lines with ease.

A great evening’s entertainment which had so many twists and turns there was always some new bit of scandal to keep the audience guessing.

Many congratulations to all involved especially to Julie Webb as Director.
