It is always very exiting to be invited to a world premier and in this case even more so as it was the world premier of 'The World Premier'. A clever idea for any company to put on a play written for them (about them?) and it was appreciated by the whole audience.
The set was excellent as were the costumes and fitted the piece beautifully. There was a strong cast and it was a delight to watch the talented company interpret this play.
All are worthy of mention but I have a but a small space. Kelly-Ann Allen, as one has come to expect of this talented young lady, was outstanding in her role as Claire, as was Tim Pottinger in the role of Doug. Dreena Morgan-Harvey as Victoria and Simon Morgan as Malcolm were perfectly cast and one has encountered characters just like this in amateur dramatic societies over the years! I was delighted by Rebecca Cadmore's acting and stage presence as the wonderful character of Tammy and Megan Kate Thickins gave a lovely performance as Melanie.
Highlights of the piece were the musical theatre 'numbers', which were very clever and amusing and seeing the entire company having such a great time on stage in this new piece. Well done to all in this clever and entertaining production.
