It would be invidious to pick out any particular individual in this production as each member of the cast fulfilled their roles to a high standard and gave us very believable characterisations, with good clear diction and some fine facial expressions. Nevertheless, I must congratulate Paul Woodcock (Count Foscoe) who maintained his foreign accent throughout. The amount of dialogue had been well learnt and therefore the very small amount of prompt was not readily noticeable. I liked the fact that the stage crew were costumed appropriate to the era for the small amount of changes needed between Acts, was very natural and appeared to be “housekeeping”. Congratulations to Di Norman on her direction of the play which drew the audience into the action.
