There were excellent performances from the three witches, Alison Bradley (Jane Smart), Natalie Veasey (Sukie Rougemont) and Helen Donnelly Parker (Alexandra Spofford).   All demonstrated their separate characters but interacted well with each other.  They all had powerful voices and acting ability which were very well displayed, particularly in “I Wish I May” and their scenes with Darryl Van Horne (Alan Lowe)   Alan gave a very masterly devilish, and slimy performance as this character, demonstrating all the characteristics and stage presence that this role requires.

Alison Barratt and Mike Storr also turned in excellent performances as the married couple, Felicia Gabriel and her long suffering husband, Clyde, both bringing lots of comedy moments to the show.    Alison coped very well with the sequences where she is made to be “sick” ie the tennis balls, necklace and feathers scenes.   The other roles were well cast and brought good support to the main principals.

The fictional town of Eastwick was quickly brought to life by the good company numbers, performed by an energetic ensemble, particularly “Eastwick Knows” and “Dirty Laundry”.

The set, designed by the Director, Sharon Plummer, and Stage Director, John Gould and built by the Company, worked well and the scene changes went without a hitch. It was obvious that Sharon had given a lot of thought to the flying sequence, as there are no flying facilities at the Theatre.  This was staged really well and you would not have known that wires were not involved.   When the church collapsed there were bricks flying all over the place.   This and all the other effects made the Wedding and Finale a lovely piece of theatre.

The Orchestra, which was out of sight, was very tightly controlled by Rob Murray.
