A beautifully hand painted set and good orchestration held our attention throughout the show, couple this with exquisite make up and costumes and a cast enthused by a wonderful story line, this was my very first visit to a show oh so many years ago, but like a lot of things we can all recall, this show is timeless and an excellent piece for youth groups. Toad (Marcus Dolman) gave a good performance in this role with an enormous amount of action and dialogue well done. Mole (Ceri Clarke) and Rat (Ben Wallace) were matched well and sang well in their numbers. Chief Weasel (Jordon Parker) was excellent giving an extraordinary performance bedecked in his leather jacket and spiked hair, with expressions that only added to the overall characterisation, the rap number was outstanding and such a surprise performed with aplomb and all credit to you not being mic’d. Chief Stoat (Bethany Dale) created her own personal character to accompany the Chief Weasel well done. Peter Rabbit & Judge (Josh Freestone) comical presence and performance another good role for you. The choreography was simple but very effective and easy on the eye. The ensemble moved and accompanied the cast well with new members coming through which only bodes well for the future. Overall a wonderful show.
Many thanks for your hospitality during my visit.
