~~A new play to me and to Sutton Arts Theatre.  Set in a farmhouse in Wiltshire we meet pensioner couple Arthur (Len Schofield), and Edie (Dorothy Goodwin) in the home they have lived in all their married life.  Edie’s memory and health is deterioting.  So carer Kate (Kira Mack) joins them to look after the couple.  But all the time their son Stephen  (Dexter Whitehead) is trying to get them to sell their farm.

This Barney Norris play, directed by Barry Aitchison, is not as depressing as it seems.  He did a good job of bringing the play to life.  I did feel sorry for the actors at times because of the large chunks of dialogue they had to learn.

All four principals played their parts well.

The set looked really good and was up the very high Sutton Arts standard.
