This Agatha Christie murder mystery played to a packed Aldridge Theatre as the audience tried to figure out ‘whodunnit’.

When a stranger, Michael Starkwedder (Matt Round) runs his car into a ditch in Wales, he gets to the nearest house where he discovers a woman standing near her dead husband’s body, gun in her hand.  She admits to his murder but with the help of Michael they make a cover up story.

But, is it possible that Laura Warwick (Clair Tregellis) did not murder him at all.  If so, who could it have been?  The victim’s younger brother John Warwick (outstanding acting from Taylor Johns) or his mother (Anne Troman).  Or, could it have been Laura’s lover Julian Farrar (John Richardson), who?

It’s down to Inspector Thomas (Clive Barlow) and Sergeant de Sousa (Joan de Sousa) to figure this out.  With Jenny Culligan as Miss Bennett and Mark Moran as Henry Angell, the man servant, the stage is set.

Rob Hyland, who also played the victim (Richard Warwick, did a fantastic job in directing the first play of Circle Players 90th anniversary season.  With a great looking set and a talented team of actors this play could not fail.

Congratulations to you all.
