The Three Towns, In Concert with over 40 members taking part in a relaxed and revue style atmosphere aided by the cabaret style seating. Stepping up to the role of Conductor was David Kay, pianist was Nicola Dagnall who expertly accompanied.

David Hill was the compere and led us through the evening with interesting information about each piece in a witty and warm way, with songs from the whole choir, trios, duets and solos too many to mention in full.

Tony Meehan singing Bright Eyes from Watership Down with a warm creamy voice to listen to just lovely. Ken Rees didn’t disappoint with a full bodied deep rich voice singing Oh What a Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma. Victoria Goulden showing us how it’s done with vocal athletics singing Art is Calling For Me from The Enchantress.

The highlight for me in the solos was Allen Christey-Casson singing Skellern & Stilgoe’s Joyce, The Librarian - a masterclass in the delivery of a comic song – fabulous! Allen also then goes on to do a double whammy showing he has still got it with Jean Forrester, Jean also both putting in a masterclass for White Horse Inn, a taster of The Three Towns next show.

A fun side to the whole choir was when they were singing Richard G. Grylls’ A Royal Nursery Muddley (sic) with various nursery rhymes lead ably by Colin Magenty shouting out the orders. Jolly good fun and really got the audience in the mood for the evening. Lovely seeing the choir enjoying themselves.

Myfanwy was absolutely beautiful (and not just because I was born in Wales!), Ken Rees starts off solo singing in Welsh then the rest of the Gentlemen join in then singing in English - well done boyos! Some of the choir songs – in particular Lion King Medley, I Have A Dream and the encore Anything Goes were very uplifting.  A song I have never heard that was just a delight was the Christmassy Mary Did You Know by Lowry & Greene.

Thank you so much for inviting and making my guest and I feel so welcome as ever your front of house display at the entrance was very impressive. Thank you!
