What a lot of fun! I thoroughly enjoyed this lesser-known panto. Sarah Woodwards could not be faulted in her portrayal of the title role. Louise Ashworth and Joe Smith worked extremely well together as the Ravens [Cora and Corr]. Kevin Pattenden's hunchbacked Igor was most amusing, Neave Taylor was very appealing as Gerda and Lewis Michael Hurst was very convincing as Kay. The rest of the cast played their parts admirably while the dance routines by the pupils of the Dawn Staples School of Dance were delightful. There was tap and ballet along with the more jazzy-styles. I was convinced the backcloths has been hired and was amazed to learn they had been painted by a talented member of the society. All the excellent costumes were home produced as well and the technical aspects were in extremely capable hands. The singing was to a good standard and the band's accompaniment was sympathetic. This was a very enjoyable production.
