~~They say the future of amateur stage lies with the youth theatres. If that is the case then our future is very safe in the hands of this talented group. Nyandovah Foday as The Snow Queen led a very talented cast. With Scott Jennings as Hans Christian Andersen telling us the story of Gerda, Jenna Simpson, who goes in search of Kai, (Andrew Treacy), who has been mesmerised by The Snow Queen. Joe Logan shone as the dame, Granny Fanny-Annie, as did Kathryn Ellis as Mother Nature. Kathryn gave us a super redidition of ‘What ever happened to my part’ from ‘Spamalot’. With good support from Tom Reidy as Helmut, the audience really enjoyed this production. This was director Adam Swift’s first production with BYT and he really developed the cast’s skills. With Choreography from Melanie Flint (her last show unfortunaly with BYT) and Chris Corcoran as Musical Director, this was another hit for the company.
Well done BYT and I am already looking forward to your next production.
