The Sleeping Beauty

This was a very lively and slick production, with a young and talented production team at the helm.  As always it is good to see the mix of youth and experienced hands in the chorus.  Chairman Steve Raven was a wonderful dame and very funny.  I loved him coming on from each side of the stage during Obbjob’s solo I need love!  All principal parts were well taken and I loved the bear Cuddles well played (with no spoken words) by Arun Gammage.  The band and backing singers lead by Musical Director Simon Allan kept the feet tapping in the Eye of the Tiger number.  The choreography was well done by 17 year old Harry Jones and good experience for his Musical Theatre course at The Birmingham Ormiston Academy.  The whole production was well directed by Hannah Denton who has just graduated from Aberystwyth University.  Thank you HAPS for a wonderful evening.
