Milton Musical Society had a near full house at The Forest Arts Centre, a new venue. The show included a decade of musicals performed by the society.  With a flat floor, tiered seating, the quartet band at the back of the stage and projected scenes from the various productions the audience sat back to enjoy the show.

All the solo singers gave their best and the chorus worked well. Starting with “Kiss me Kate”  the show moved on to the the sea for the tragic but enthralling “Titanic” very moving, then on the lighter side to France for “The Scarlet Pimpernel” and London for “Oliver” followed by “Blitz” before the interval. After a short break Act 2 took us to America for “Ragtime” on to Russia for “Fiddler on the Roof” return to America for “Oklahoma” back to England for “My Fair Lady”and this years “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in France, the finale took us to the “South Pacific” in order to give the audience a glimpse to encourage them to attend next year's production.  I have not mentioned any of the soloists by name as there were so many, but I must mention Silma Ramsaywack “ Your Daddy's Son” from “Ragtime” a very moving piece. The production team of director, Terry Barnett MD, Alistair Hume and choreographer Kirsti Warne are to be congratulated for all their efforts. The applause of the audience indicated that they had enjoyed what they had seen and went away humming and happy.
