As always the set design for this play was outstanding with many tiny touches - running tap water for instance and impressive lighting effects, that sets them apart from many other groups .
RLT has a very talented & dedicated team who design and build their sets to perfection .
The play has a small cast and each role was played exactly right . I don’t like to single out individuals as they were all so good . However Lesley Harris as LV was excellent & her voice a delight . She captured the timidity & sadness of the role perfectly .
Joan Young as Mari Hoff had a massive amount of dialogue which she delivered with the grit and venom of a domineering bawdy drunken woman .
I was a little concerned that some of the audience might be offended by the very colourful language- perfectly in keeping with the overall authenticity of the play. However judging by the tremendous applause this was not the case .
Overall the players under the direction of Donnamarie Stamp were of a very high standard and everyone involved should be very proud .
