Masqueraders production of The Producers was full of comedy and laughs.

The story follows Max Bialystock’s quest to produce a Broadway flop with the help of Leo Bloom to make them 2 million dollars and head to Rio!

The show was filled with plenty of different accents and the cast should be congratulated on their talents.

The Principle cast included Roger (Neil Dykes) and Carmen (Sam King) who were a wonderful duo and lit up the stage on every appearance.  Franz (Sam Asbury) and Leo (Saul Bache) are two very talented Actors who portrayed their parts with ease.  Ulla (Jade Bloomer) the only female principle cast member, had some very lovely scene’s with both Max and Leo.

Max (Richard Yates) completed the line up of principle cast and gave an excellent performance throughout the show during which he didn’t get much of a break Richard’s performance of “Betrayed” was a particular highlight.

The whole production was very well choreographed with some well executed dance routines and lovely small parts for the chorus.

There was some clever use of projection to help with the production together and some delightful designed anatomic pigeons!

Admittedly the backstage crew and technical team did encounter some issues they preserved and it did not detract from the overall quality.

Although the show is long (2 hours 50) it was filled with laughs throughout.

There was a range of colourful costumes and who knew you could get so many zimmer frames on one stage!

The production was a toe tapping and enjoyable performance.
