The Producers

Following on from last year’s excellent show you’ve come up trump’s again. A very funny show in its own right, all that was needed was an injection from Trinity which it had in abundance. Yet again very good orchestration from Richard Tadman with a complex score very well handled. An excellent set handled well by the cast and stage crew alike. The costumes were on the whole very good not quite sure Max Bialystock needed all the padding because at times he seemed a little uncomfortable, and for me personally not required, that said Jon Ranwell who played this role gave a very good interpretation of this role, and with as we know a beautiful voice well done. Leo Bloom (Simon Mathews) a performance of outstanding ability, encompassing everything from comedy timing to characterisation and singing, working so well and bouncing of Mr Bialystock a very good casting of both parts. Ulla Inga (Louise Colohan) good characterisation and accent, seductive but never overly imposing good role well played. Roger De Bris (Simeon Green) cleverly played out role but for me not really your type of part but that said your singing voice is amazing. Carmen Ghia (Ryan Jones) ever the attentive assistant camp as they come, worked well with Roger. Franz Liebkind (Andrew Jones) a tongue in cheek part with plenty of comedy at times some of the dialogue was lost with your accent but overall excellent role which was appreciated by the audience. Hold Me-Touch Me (Lyndsey Brough) an excellent portrayal with the comedy timing of a professional which had the audience in stiches well done. The ensemble were excellent throughout especially the laddies in their big choreographed zimmer framed no. A show which was thoroughly enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience well done to all concerned.
