This was my first visit to The Hall Players as N.O.D.A. Representative and what a splendid evening it was. The play opened to an excellent, well dressed split set. It always amazes me how constructors are able to produce such complex sets on such a small playing area but this they did and to great effect. This is an intriguing story by Hugh James adapted from the novel by Jeffrey Archer. We know early on that someone has been murdered but we are left puzzled until the final moments. Having seen many “Who Dunnits” I can normally deduce what the answer is before the end but not tonight.  Director John Ellis has obviously enjoyed working with these talented actors and has provided an excellent evenings entertainment. There were some delightful performances and I particularly enjoyed Carol Buckley as Elizabeth and John Nickson as Dr Mallins. His portrayal of the Welsh Pathologist had the audience in stitches.  Lighting and effects are an integral part of this piece and certainly played their part tonight. This was a fine production and apart from a few muffed lines the evening was a great success. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you for your very warm welcome.
