A competent line-up of principals and supportive chorus members ensured that the story of a Trade Union dispute at the Sleep-Tite Pajama factory was easily told.
As the workers are nonplussed at the lack of a 7.5 cents an hour pay rise, the central drama unfolds with Babe and Sid finding themselves on opposite sides of the picket line.  Andrew Steele [Sid Sorokin] and Emma-Jayne Byers [Babe Williams] worked well together.
There were some lovely cameo roles from David Knights [Hines], Mark Hutchinson [Prez], Alison Waters [Gladys] who also choreographed the show, Katrina Knights [Mae], Charlotte Harrison [Mabel] and Alex Blackie [Brenda].
With a visit to the famous nightclub Hernando's Hideaway and a jolly “pajama” parade finale the singing throughout was strong and the band's accompaniment was good.
The scenery for this show was kept to a sensible minimum ensuring there was a reasonable amount of space for movement on this compact stage.  The movement throughout was simple yet effective considering the amount of space there was for the entire cast to work in.
Congratulations must go to the stage staff for their slick and quiet scene changes.
A most enjoyable evening – and congratulations to the entire company and production team.
