Pajama game was a great hit musical of the 1950s and it is not very often that it is performed these days. It was however to see this revival by the Dunbar Lyric Group.  The staging was kept to a bear minimum and therefore help the production to flow along at some pace.  Costuming was mostly supplied by the society and was in keeping with the times.  The small  orchestra conducted by Douglas Kerr kept the tempo of all the numbers brisk and gave a lively feeling to the proceedings.  The male lead of Sid Sorokin was portrayed by David Legge. This was his return to the musical stage after 30 years absence of performing. Babe Williams (Joanne Legge)  {Davids wife in real life} gave a sparkling performance alongside David who's powerful voice at times was quite stunning.  The part of Mr Hasler (Gordon Roberts) was played for the comical side of the part and brought many a laugh throughout the evening. The principals who performed the secondary parts in the show included  Prez  (Murray Mackay)  Gladys  (Martine McLuskie)  Mabel (Diane Kerr)  along with all the others  gave very good performances.  I mention the chorus and general ensemble work this at times was bright and singing was very clear.  Congratulations to one and all for a very interesting production and I give you all best wishes for your future productions.  PS   Did he evere find Poopsie ?
