It’s always joyous to watch a group of young talent perform and, Arden Theatre, you certainly gave us that in The Musicians. Such a simple story but what a performance by twenty or so young people. Alister Cheeseman as Alex had the daunting job of opening the play, and his balance of acting and having to hold a Russian accent paid off. Alister held his character all the way though and gave a splendid performance. Ashton Town playing Roland, on the night I was in, headed this cast and what a solid performance as Roland he gave, such a talented young man. I’m sure Oscar Boult playing Roland on other nights is just as good, sorry Oscar I couldn’t catch your performance. I apologise to the rest of the cast I can’t mention all of you by name, but you all were excellent in your allotted roles, nearly all having one or two lines and all well delivered. You all worked together to bring us an enjoyable piece of theatre.

Richard Andrews as Director, you moulded your cast to a high standard in this ‘The Musicians’..Thank you for inviting me it’s always a pleasure to visit The Arden Theatre
