A fast moving and well presented production from Manor. With some very different twists. Nick Hardy as Nanki-Poo gave a strong performance. Barbara Hayward gave her usually strong performance as Yum-Yum. I particularly enjoyed Peter Bushby as Pooh-Bah (With a Yorkshire Accent) and Brian Trott as Ko-Ko, his song was inspirational. Susan Bushby gave an outstanding performance as Katisha, I have never seen her so evil. Good support from Beth Willis, Katherine Hughes, George Fletcher , David Mellor and Paul Wozinak. I felt that the chorus numbers were very well done with wonderful harmonies. Lighting and sound was good. The scenery, through minimalist looked good. The orchestra, led by Ian Hayward sounded good and were not too loud. I would have liked the overture to be a bit shorter. Costumes were outstanding, congratulations to Paula Norris for finding them. Nick and Barbara should be proud of this production, as should the whole of ‘The Manor’.
