LADS have an enviable reputation and for this production of The Ladykillers they certainly delivered an evening of most enjoyable entertainment.  All the characters had been most ably cast and the players brought to the fore their professionalism in the manner in whch they delivered their excellent performances and they are all to be congratulated as is the director on her vision for this drama.  The contrasting characters within 'the Mob' were a delight to enjoy, as was the engaging vagueness of Mrs Wilberforce delivered with such expertise, and ably coped with by our unfailingly polite policeman.  The 'friends' at the recital were delightfully portrayed and even the squawking for the parrot was believable and entertaining.

Added to this was a complex and impressively designed set - plaudits must go to the set designer and the most capable crew of set constructors.  With their design they enabled the players to slickly change from one area of the house to another  - particularly notable was the seamless transition from  inside the house to a quick switch to outside the house which was impressive.

Artistic vision, sound, lighting, props, stage management were delivered with the professionalism one expects from LADS and the audience were treated to a seamless and slick production which was most audibly received by a very appreciative audience on the night.
