This was another clever panto written by Jim Smith.   I enjoyed the clever wording in the song at the end of the first half about teas, raffle and whether anyone would be the first to use the loo!

As always it was lovely to see the different ages on stage.   The three witches Grizelda, Ellphaba and Galinda were well played by Rachael Redfern, Pam Arnold and Trish Petterson respectively.  Cliff Spooner who played the Sheriff looked like he was having a ball with his part and he got the boos his character deserved.

I enjoyed the wondering minstrels Blondel, Marion, Punch and Judy played by Rodney Bowdler, Karen Spooner, Jackie Turner and Maggie Maynard respectively.  I liked the part when they all came on with water pistols and after spraying the audience with water they had a mini water fight!

It was lovely to see David Francis, Dilys Hollinghurst and Jim Smith reprising their roles as Mrs Vacuum, Alotoflese and the professor (or Apothecary as he was known in the show).  I did enjoy the surgery song.

I loved the way some of the younger chorus were either dressed up as witches or in Harry Potter inspired clothes.

My favourite bit was the old crone who was holding up the sign for each round.

Thank you, Kington, for a lovely evening.
