Its not often you get to watch a bit of Shakespeare – this production features the ENTIRE works of Shakespeare in one evening with three actors!

Congleton Players those their finest to produce such a brilliantly entertaining piece of theatre under the talented watch of Director Simon Wain and Producer Pamela Mien.

The trio of actors, Andrew Tooth, Daniel Masterson and Martin Daniel worked incredibly hard and gave such energy to keep this production moving with precision, pace and so much control and even an element improvisation. Only the finest actors with impeccable comic timing could pull this off and that they did. All three accomplished such versatility throughout the production adapting suitably at each stage in the play. I really loved how they referred to current topics making the whole thing fresh and interesting and adding even more humour.

The interesting part came in act 2 when the heat was on to deliver the whole production at speed, then backwards and then backwards again – at speed! I have never laughed out loud so much.

The set was workable and effective as were the sound and lighting. The props team deserve a special mention although how they were used by Andrew, Daniel and Martin was particularly impressive. The electronic dinosaur probably should have had its name in the programme it had that many appearances – hilarious!

I could have watched this play again and again – an outstanding achievement – well done to everyone involved.
