The Chistmas Carol Farse featuring the 5 minute Christmas Carol

What a lovely way to spend an evening. Carnoustie Theatre Club juniors you were fabulous. This slick production gave these youngsters a chance to shine and they grabbed it with both hands.

I was impressed by the characterisation and diction portrayed by everyone on the stage. No prompts here! Lots of hard work in evidence.

The main characters of the story were well represented by the cast with some interesting additions, a confident Charles Dickens, a failed actress come teacher Chastity Karioke, a delightful Mr Slick and others. Even the stage crew became part of the action. I would like to thank in no particular order Abbie, Allie, Cara, Charlie, Evie, Beth, Alice, Holly, Daniel, Cara, Ariya, Ellie, Sophie, Phoebe, Adelyn, Hamish, Liv and Evie. Well done everyone.

This play was given the royal treatment by Carolyn and Nicki and the whole was complemented with great costumes, props, sound and lighting. I loved the simple but effective set with the 5 doors used by the cast with effect.

I am already looking forward to seeing more from this talented group. Thank you for your hospitality and inviting me.
