The Broadway Big Sing

Once again, in the delightful surroundings of St Andrew's Church, audiences were treated to an excellent concert. The chosen items provided a remarkably wide range of music from an amazing selection of musicals. The quality of singing was quite excellent throughout. All the soloists acquitted themselves admirably, with duets, trios and other concerted numbers showing the depth of talent there is within this company. The chorus, supplemented by - perhaps even made up of - the many individual performers, was admirable. They not only sang well, but were very obviously enjoying their involvement. The subtle changes of lighting around the company were most effective. Seldom can a company have been put through such a strenuous evening of performance. Simon Gray's energy, enthusiasm and professionalism are clearly an inspiration to this highly talented company.
