This was a British premier of a new play very suitable for younger performers and could almost be described as a “who done it” in the land of popular pantomime characters. The large cast had been well prepared by Rebecca and Tracy and it was well directed, making good use of all the available facilities. There was plenty of emerging talent on stage. Poppy Beherall and George Earle gave super performances in the roles of Gretal and Hansel handling the character change very well. Nice performances from Leah McGrath and Amy Hartley in the roles of Streptococcas and Snow White, they did seem to grow in confidence and made the most of their characters. Abbi White and Saffi Waby as FBI Wombat and FBI Ringworm developed their characters well and also worked well together, making good use of the many humorous moments in the script. There were nice interludes of dance in the production, all well performed and well choreographed. The costumes were great and certainly added to the visual effect as indeed did the very good set and both must have taken plenty of preparation time but it was worth it. The lighting and sound were in very capable young hands, nicely presented. Overall very entertaining, congratulations to all concerned.
