Another hit for this company.  From start to finish the near sell out audience really enjoyed the production.  The show had everything, great acting, superb choreography and good harmonies by the chorus in the musical numbers.

The plot involves Wednesday, the only daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams, who wants to marry Lucas but how will his normal family mix with the unusual Addams family and will Lucas get his girl.

John Biddell as Gomez and Katie Lewis as Morticia led this talented company well with some great acting and superb singing.  They were well cast in the roles and worked well together.  Together they were well supported by Abi Crosby and Eloise Tanley playing their children Pugsley and Wednesday.  Two more great actors were Ravin Thakrar as Fester and Charlene Payton as Grandma, but whose mother was she?  Pity Grandma is not in the second act much as I would have liked to see more of this character.  Butler Lurch was played by Rob Whitehouse; how he kept a straight face I do not know.  Playing the Beineke family was Dan Benton as Mal, Samantha Rogers as his wife Alice and Alex Tuckwell as Wednesdays love interest Lucas.  Samantha Rogers gave a great performance and has a good singing voice.  During ‘The Game’ at the end of act one she came into her own

The principals were well supported by the large chorus for this production who really worked well together.  Team work was evident.

Laura Whitehouse, directing her first production for CLOC had a marvellous debut.  Pete Wingate, also debuting as Musical Director for the company really created a good sound which was much appreciated.  Teresa Biddell’s choreography was a joy to watch especially in the big chorus numbers.

The set looked good and fitted well onto the Sutton Coldfield Town Hall stage, add in good costumes which suited the tone of the piece.  The lighting was good, especially the moon effect and suited the spooky atmosphere.  The sound was good but I did feel that sometimes, especially at the start of the show, the orchestra covered some of the singing on stage, but this was corrected and did not distract from the production.

The backstage crew and some of the cast worked well and the scene changes were well covered.
