Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell
Bonkers Theatrical, Bonkers Playhouse
Alan Ayckbourn's wry comedy found great favour with the audience. All six members of the cast played their parts admirably. In particular I mention Neil Markland as Norman. A relative newcomer to the amateur stage, his portrayal was very impressive. I liked the 'silent' moments shown by the rest of the people involved when Norman was being especially, and very irritatingly, noisy. It all added to the comedy. The set was well-designed, constructed and furnishes. the props team deserve a pat on the back; they coped with the all the food required by the action of the play. The outfits were suitable for the1970s era. Frankly, it would be difficult to find fault with this production. Well done.
