Spotlight Theatre School presented Stand in the Spotlight at the Nottingham Arts Theatre. This was a mixed performance showcase, featuring excerpts from a wide variety of shows, presented by the students of Spotlight Theatre School.
This showcase was well produced by Amanda Hall and her extensive team, with some strong aspects of direction, choreography and musical direction. There was evidently a lot of hard work put into the production from all involved, which was well rehearsed and planned, observed by the slick transitions and continuous action. Of particular production highlight was the technical support provided by the sound and lighting team, which added great professionalism to the evening’s entertainment.
The showcase was a great opportunity for the young performers to exhibit their performance skills and show their loved ones how they have developed and improved over the past year whilst training with Spotlight Theatre School. The young and dedicated cast certainly had worked hard remembering such a packed roster, with plenty to do for all involved. The students delivered with a wonderful variety of performance, from a mix of age groups and every member performed well and with confidence. Packed full of energy, enthusiasm and variety, the talented ensemble oozed with enjoyment which was fully reciprocated by the passionate audience.
Spotlight Theatre School certainly has a very talented group of youngsters, full of future promise and potential. From all at NODA Nottingham, we thank you for your hospitality and look forward to seeing your next production.
