After being invited to attend a rehearsal for this production, I was eagerly waiting to see the finished production, and I, and the audience were not disappointed.  John Spencer (Emile) and Abigail Wells (Nellie), who lit up the stage, led this production from the front.  John’s rich sounding voice suited his role well.  They were well supported by Lisa Smith as Bloody Mary and Nathan Dipple as the love interest, Lt. Joseph Cable.  The set was simple but very effective and the scene changes very slick.  This show was a delight with exceptional singing from the whole company.  Patrick Pryce as Luther Billis brought great gusto and comedy to the production.  The sound was perfect and the lighting most effective.  Good cameo roles from Roy Cotterill as Capt. George Bracket, Rob Thomas as William Harbison and Dolly Thompson as Liat.  This show has been charming audiences for 65 years and BMOS should be proud of Stephen Duckham’s, and their interpretation.  Many congratulations BMOS, a great nights entertainment.
