This was the first time I had attended a concert by SOSage Factory and hopefully it will not be my last after seeing a good night’s entertainment by these very talented young people.

The venue, Knowle Village Hall, suited this type of entertainment well.  I was a bit concerned that with the band being right at the front, they may have drowned out the performers, but I needn’t have worried.  The band, under the direction of Mel O’Donnell were just at the right level and every word could be heard.

The performers dressed in their SOSage polo shirts brought a splash of colour to the stage.

There were 31 young people on stage, far too many to mention by name, but I really did enjoy Charlie Loughran singing ‘On the Street Where You Live’ sounded good and Izabelle Mellors with ‘Colours of the Wind’ also received a big round of applause.

I also really enjoyed the Ensemble numbers in which you could tell the cast were really enjoying their selves.  From ‘Aint no Mountain high enough’ to Baggy Trousers and from The Chess Medley to a rousing rendition of ‘Oklahoma’, which is also their next production.

Many congratulations to you all and Karl and I look forward to seeing you soon.
