With a cast of fifteen, the audience were treated to a great evening`s entertainment. The play was well directed by Nick Ramwell.with a charming set  complete with lift   typically not always working . The Lucky Star Hotel is were the action takes place. Run by  owners Carl and Jane Rivers (David Crank and Nicola Walsh), well cast and supported by staff  who were continually kept on their toes. The visitors were a real mixture. Vivienne Smythe was  a smashing moaner well played by Chris Wynn.We could hear every word, her diction was so well done. Suzanne Smith was hillarious as the vamp Yvonne Greene, determined to get her claws into anyone in trousers. Her costumes were wonderful.

Other  parts were so well played.. Residents Jack and Sandra Bond (Tony Meehan and Kate Nixon) were a couple trying to mend their marriage. Eddie Done was a smashing

Napoleon Bonaparte, with a daughter  always trying to stop him from getting into trouble. The tale becomes interesting with the arrival of two robbers intent on collecting  stollen goods hidden in the kitchen.   Nick Ramwell and Stuart McCaig  were so funny  as the two men Richard Fisher and Skye Gibbs. The scene as they arrive is brilliant as they try to think of  fake names., picking up two magazines , Whats on and  Homes. One wants to be a doctor, so can you guess the names chosen? Dr Watson and Mr Holmes.!!!!

The play takes a twist and nobody is as they seem, so we are treated to a smashing ending.  All  members of this large cast were a credit to the society. Well done everyone and many thanks for the warm welcome.
