There was a great deal of fun to be had at the Barn Theatre in Seaford on the opening night of this well loved tale.  There were lots of excellent performances from all the characters involved with Shana Edwards as Snow White who was charm personified - a young lady who should go a long way.  Angie Wright was a lovely, slightly clumsy fairy (Fairy Good Fortune) with Rob Horscraft and Shar Turnbull as Edna Buckett (the Dame) and Chuckles the Jester keeping us laughing.  Sue James was the baddy (Queen Avarice) looking very elegant and receiving lots of boos and hisses.  Ricky Clarke's performance as Merlin of the Magic Mirro was most enjoyable - a great way to employ the "Mirror, Mirror" sequences.  Julie Terry was a swashbuckling Prince Ferdinand whose voice matched Snow White's so well in their duets.  The rest of the cast, including the grown-up dwarfs led by Steve Llewellyn, told the story very well with lots of fun along the way.  We were also treated to a ballet from the little Forest Animals from the Seahaven Dance School who were a delight and all the movement from the whole cast was very well choreographed and executed. The principals and chorus all sang well and all those responsible for putting on this panto are to be congratulated, together with all those working  backstage in any capacity.
