A thoroughly enjoyable pantomime brought to us by this friendly village Society. From the smallest dwarf to the star principals, everyone gave their all and the performance was enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience.
We are welcomed by Fairy Flora brightly played by Rachel Spitzer who guided us through the story. A most charming and look alike Snow White, Sarah Ruby, was every bit as we imagine with good authentic costume. Evilynn the wicked Queen was well cast in Wendy Simmonds as was her magic mirror Sarah France, these characters gave us some special moments I, particularly, thought the transformation into the witch was quickly done and I loved the saucy dialogue from the mirror.
Everyone’s favourite dame was Frank Lea as Clarissa the cook ‘beautifully ‘ dressed and made up!
There was a handsome Prince Charming in the form of Rebekah Holland . Stars of the future were the children who played the dwarfs - you could see every one enjoyed the experience and it must have been fun dressing in those costumes.
One small comment, I felt that Rebekah had trouble with her hair at times, and I would have recommended she wore a wig or tied it back with a big ribbon.
There was some good scenery as usual with this Society and overall it was a very good effort all round and congratulations to all concerned.
