What a pleasant box of surprises this pantomime was. A fun packed, full of laughter show with great singing and dancing.
Our heroine was the lovely Snow White played by Sarah Matheson and our hero was Prince Lorenzo (Kirsty Denoon). They worked so well together and their voices blended effectively performing a number of solos and a charming duet, all of which received deserved applause.
The comedy was in the capable hands of Dolly Dumpling (Brian Mathieson) who kept us all laughing with her jokes and adlibs. She was helped along by a spritely Tom the innkeeper (Ross Robertson) and a serious Herman the Henchman (Millar Young). Well done gentlemen you acted with confidence and style.
Good and Naughty were excellently represented by Ali Niven (Fairy Godmother) and Charlotte Williamson (Morgiana the evil stepmother). A mention must be made about Emma Brand who handled the intricacies of the Magic Mirror, in its special booth, very well.
The dwarfs were played by younger members of the company and I was impressed by the way they handled themselves, danced and spoke. Congratulations must go to Sammy, Evan, Murron, Charlotte, Leigha, Keira and Jacob. Also acted by junior members were the guards Eva and Natasha who were on spot with their timing and responses.
Congratulations to the production team Graeme, Laura, Emma and Colin. This was a slick production making use of excellent projections and coping well with a power cut. Backstage crew, make up, costume, lighting and sound completed this delightful package. Thank you as always for your lovely hospitality.
