PMS annual pantomime optimised the members of this ever enthusiastic Society to the maximum. The cast were led by a confident Snow White (Michelle Carter) and her adversary the wicked Queen Avarice (Linda Tester); add in the ever popular Dame Edna Bucket (Marcus Burnside) and an exuberant “fool” in the shape of Chuckles (Henry Petch), together with an appealing Prince Ferdinand (Ruby Williams) and a delightful Fairy Good Fortune (Claire Carter) and the audience were in safe hands. Justice Quill (Matthew Dulson) and Scribbles (Stephen Temples) worked well together as a double act and Merlin of the Magic Mirror (Matthew Russell) came to life fabulously in ‘I want to break free’. With plenty of opportunities for the junior members in the two teams of dwarfs (Team 2 performed at the Saturday matinee), two teams of junior chorus members and two teams of dancers, the youth section of the Society continues to thrive. There was a good choice of music complimented by the basic but well-rehearsed choreography for the Chorus and augmented by the set pieces from the precise and well-presented dance teams. A fun-filled afternoon was certainly enjoyed at the Kirk Theatre. Well done to all involved.
