I don't have many youth groups in my district, but what I do have I always enjoy visiting. Rats Ratlets always entertain well and this year it's Snow White. This colourful production Directed by Grant Flanagan with exceptional lighting this year by Steve Hewlett and Phill Willing, lit up the stage, which was very solid and in proportion for the dwarfs: well done to the stage/set builders. Costumes as per usual by the Oast house costume division were in period. I feel it unfair to heap praise on any of the cast as I can see they all enjoyed themselves up there on stage. There were a few dropped lines here and there, and hesitations but this can be accepted as they are only leaning their stage craft. I spotted a few actors to watch in the future. With 26 in the cast and such a small space to fit them on it, Grant Flanagan moulded them very well to fit. All cast members gave the audience a fun evening with scary masks, spooky sound effects, and good props, and a commitment from all in the cast for an enjoyable evening at the Oast House Theatre.
